  Do LCDs Have P1, P2, P3?

  LCDs do not have the same "P" value classification as LED screens. The "P" value in LED screens specifically refers to the pixel pitch, which is a characteristic related to the physical arrangement of pixels in an LED display. LCDs have their own set of parameters and characteristics for defining resolution and pixel density. In LCDs, the resolution is typically described in terms of the number of horizontal and vertical pixels, such as 1366x768 or 2560x1440. The pixel density is calculated based on the size of the display and the resolution. For example, a 24-inch LCD monitor with a 1920x1080 resolution will have a certain pixel density that determines the sharpness of the image.

  While LED screens use the pixel pitch concept to distinguish between different levels of detail and viewing distance suitability, LCDs rely more on their liquid crystal technology and the backlight system to control the display of images. LCDs work by modulating the light passing through the liquid crystal layer and color filters. The construction and operation of LCDs are different from LED screens in terms of how they achieve color and image formation. However, both LCDs and LED screens are used in a wide range of applications, and the choice between them depends on various factors such as cost, power consumption, desired display quality, and viewing environment. LCDs are often favored for their lower power consumption in some portable devices and for their good color reproduction in general-purpose monitors, while LED screens are popular for their high brightness and suitability for large-scale displays and outdoor applications where the "P" value concept is crucial for determining the appropriate pixel density and viewing distance relationship.
