Contrast is also an important indicator for measuring the image quality of LCD screens. Traditional LCD screens have relatively low contrast, and when displaying black images, liquid crystal molecules cannot completely block the light from the backlight, resulting in insufficient depth of black and a lack of layering in the image. However, with the advancement of technology, such as LCD screens using local dimming technology, it is possible to partition and control the backlight source. When displaying black scenes, turning off the backlight in the corresponding area greatly improves the contrast, making the bright parts of the picture brighter and the dark parts darker, enhancing the three-dimensional and layered sense of the picture. Resolution also affects the image quality of LCD screens. Nowadays, high-resolution LCD screens are becoming increasingly popular, ranging from the common 1920 × 1080 to 2560 × 1440, and even 4K (3840 × 2160) and 8K (7680 × 4320) resolutions. Higher resolution means that the screen can display more details and the image is clearer and sharper.
